HysterSisters Meet-Ups and Events?

What makes me feel good, is to look at the dates of the surgeries of all the sisters who are talking. I know that we'll all still be sisters for a long, long time. Do you all still talk to the sisters who had surgeries close to the time you did? I've gotten very close to the sisters in my time frame over the past eight weeks, and I love it when I see sisters on line who had surgery years agol. That really helps!

I would definitly go! I'm on Long Island, which is a hop, skip and a jump from NYC. Boston, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and parts of Upstate NY, would also work for me, if it's over a weekend. I can't wait to meet my "sisters", and put a face with the names!

Count me in; it'd be great to talk with gals, in person, who've gone through similar experiences. I've had a & p repairs, hysterectomy-kept ovaries-(2007), enterocele repair via abdominal sacral colpopexy and a tvt/tot (sling) as of Nov. 2008.

Wonderful idea I could go for that in or near my area.

I would go for sure, but I think most women keep this problem a secret......I knew of 3 women that had hysterectomies, and had no clue as to why until I had my own issues. I tell everyone who will listen about these problems if they want to hear them or not. Women and the men need education. Its just too common of a problem not to be ignored.

I live in Atlanta and would love to go and have the support of others going through this. I had stage 4 endo and it is amazing how little is know about this and no matter how much they tell you, once you go through a hysterectomy you can really only relate the experience with someone that has gone through it.
