Recovery differences

Urf-

It sounds like your recovery was way more extreme than most. I also had a Tah and had no pain past the first day. I was walking around the yard the 3rd day home by myself. I could do laundry, cook and clean (no lifting over 5 pounds) by about day 4. I was fine throughout the whole recovery time and my DH went back to work after only 2 days off because I did not need him to be home.

So, everyone's recovery is different. You may be ok like I was but you still will not be able to lift anything. Don't get yourself scared about the extreme worst case scenario because it probably won't happen to you.

Just be prepared to have help with your kids and don't freak yourself out by reading too much on here. I did but then realized that mostly only the women who are having problems post. The ones who are doing great are off living their lives!

Dear HouseHunter,

I agree with you 100% that everybody heals differently and some are quicker to heal than others.

But, you claim that my TAH is "extreme" ....but you don't even list here what you had done and what your symptoms were or your age.
I think your recovery is the opposite extreme to the norm.

That's great that you were able to do all those things so fast after surgery.....but, gotta think about healing all of those internal stitches and not pushing your body too far.

I think it is good that you lent your perspective to BEANIE as well
But she ALSO needs to hear what else to expect.

As far as "the women" who post on this website
"having problems"
We are all here for for one reason or another...maybe it's physical or emotional - or just some to talk to.
But sometimes there are Princesses like "Jeanine and Bee Ot" who stay....because THEY CARE

We all "Are Off Living Our Lives Everyday"....we cook, we clean...but we make time to come here to this website for love, solace and support

Love to all my Sisters
