Bleeding Post-Op - 2 1/2 weeks out

Hello - I had my surgery with the Divinci on Oct 17th. I did not bleed for the first two weeks and after walking around Friday night with my son for Haloween I started to bleed on Saturday afternoon. I went shopping on Sunday with my son and out of habit picked him up to get into the buggy - 1/2 way there realized how stupid I was! Went back to work on Monday - I know, too soon. Yesterday I hit a wall at work and went home early only to throw up because of how bad I was feeling. Last night I woke up to a gush of blood and I passed a large blood clot.

I had to have surgery b/c of fibroids and horrible uncontrollable bleeding with very large clots for almost two months prior to surgery. I went into surgery anemic and weak - so I was very upset last night to say the least. I had several times during my problems where I would have gushes of blood due to the position of the fibroids.

I am going to the doctor tomorrow morning and I am scared I have done damage!

I'm sorry that you're experiencing bleeding post-op but it's good you have an appointment tomorrow to be checked. Hopefully it's just from an increase in activity.

You're welcome to visit the Post-Op message board and start a new thread there, just like you did here, so that members who can relate will be able to respond directly to you.
