pulled muscle?

Hello ladies:
I'm 15 days post-op for a TAH/BSO and was doing wonderfully well, at least I thought so. I think I hurt myself.
I stupidly thought I could plug in an electrical cord but when I straightned up I felt a good twinge in my left lower
quadrant. No big deal at the time. I felt pain later in the
evening trying to get into bed and of course through the night. It's a burning pain and it hurts to sit, wether it be on a chair, couch or even to use the bathroom.
I feel like I either have to hold my lower left belly or try to
keep it from scrunching up. It even hurts to do stairs, even
slowly.
I am seeing my GP in the morning but I'm pretty sure he won't be able to tell me what I did.
Anyone else do something this silly to cause themselves pain and what damage did you cause?
I was feeling pretty good, but still taking it easy (for me)
and now I feel like I've suffered a set back.
Hope to hear from some of my Hyster Sisters.

pulled muscle?

Fuzzy, get to the Dr fast, I'm 4 weeks post-op, have had lower left side pain for 2 weeks. I had called the Dr 3 or 4 times. Went in today for my 4 week and I have a golf ball size cyst on my left ovary.

Good luck tomorrow!

pulled muscle

Hi Bear12:
That "pulled" muscle finally stopped bothering me after
about 16 days. Of course the pain diminished with each
passing day and finally stopped hurting all together.
But I learned a big lesson, now I'm a lot more careful
with everything I do.
I did go see my Dr.(GP) he checked to see if there was
a lump. I think he might have thought I'd caused myself
a hernia. And then he said if you're still in a lot of pain
next week we'll do an ultrasound to see what kind of
damage you did do. I never went back to see him because
as I said the pain diminished with each passing day.
I do see my Gynocologist this week and I will be sure to
ask him about it.
As far as the pain went, I can honestly say that the only
other pain I've had that hurt that much was my appendix.
And that really hurt. Because
the burning, searing stab of pain is a real eyeopener.
Take care, and thanks for asking.

I'm so pleased to hear that, just be careful it doesn't take much to overdo it.
Get plenty of rest.
Best Wishes
