leakage

I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago. Everything except cervix removed. All was fine until this past July when I felt something protruding after going to the bathroom. After going to the doctor I found out that gravity was taking over and the cervix was dropping and pulling the rectum, bladder, and whatever else. Had surgery the end of July. It was more involved than we expected. I took off three weeks and followed doctors orders to the "T"

My problem is I am having drainage. We have determined it is not urine. I had the bladder strap I had attached during the first surgery replaced with a newer model. The drainage is clear, no odor. My doctor has done 2 cartizations (sp?) and a week ago she froze and killed the cells. When she examined me prior to the freezing she said the vaginal wall looked dry. The surgery itself was successful and I am completely healed.

I wear pads that depending on the day, I have to change on an hourly basis. It is difficult to function. It is like there is a cup of liquid that tilts and if I don't get to a ladies room quickly the pad is soaked to the point I can wring it out. Has anyone had anything that sounds like this? We have tried so much and I am so anxious to live normally again.

leakage

(((Minta))) it sounds like you may have a seroma on your vaginal cuff (assuming you had a trachelectomy as well as repair of your bladder procedure, right?). Seromas are pockets of fluid, much like a hematoma except they are filled with clear (serous) fluid rather than whole blood, and they can take a very long time to resolve. I have one in my breast from surgery two years ago, and last week on a mammogram we saw that it is still there!

Are you seeing a Urogyn for help with these issues?

leakage

I had a doctor's appointment last week and had an ultrasound. Everything looks perfect, but we couldn't see the sling. When my doctor examined me, something we do every other week, she checked the walls of the vagina just in case there was a spot there instead of at the top where we had been concentrating on - nothing. She had me go get blood and urine tests to see if my white count is up. I am hoping to hear something this week, but I am so afraid it will be another "didn't find anything" Since my appointment my leakage has gotten worse.
