are stabbing pains normal after 2wks?

Had surgery the 24th of October, are the stabbing pains on your lower right and left side normal?
I had to have the adominal incision with my uterus, tubes and overies removed.
Thanks for the help

Hi

I am 3 weeks- same surgery, and I have been up ALL night with pain. I have Tylenol 3s and they aren't cutting it. I made a chicken dinner- got my husband to lift the chicken in and out, but I also just started driving. I think I overdid it- and it could be that you did too. Rest- I am calling OBGYN today to check- and get something better for pain. Others?

Stabbing pain sounds a bit excessive. You may have over did it a bit or your nerves are starting to wake up. I would call your DR just to be on the safe side. Good luck and keep us posted.

are stabbing pains normal after 2wks?

Hi,
I'm 2 1/2 weeks, partial abdominal (kept everything but uterus)
I am having burning, stabbing pain on my left side where ovaries are. I had the worst pain getting into the car, took my breath away and made me cry.
I know I am doing more than I should but nothing stupid. Mostly bending to much.
Otherwise I feel fantastic. Started back on ibuprofen a few days ago after taking nothing for a week, seems to help.

Just talked to my OBGYN- he says that if the pain is relieved by rest and pain meds, it is likely muscular. I feel better this morning, although still sore. No driving for me today.

My pains are in the front. I broke down last nite (or maybe I should say this morning) and took a pain pill, since I do have some yet. Finally got some much needed sleep that way, since I am also having insomia problems too...sigh.

Brave women!!! I didn't drive until 5 weeks, I was too sore. And soraya, I had the same pain, but mine extended all the way down to my inner thigh. Dr. said it was likely my inguinal nerve that had been pulled out of the way during surgery.
