Here's a new one! To add to my misery!
Oh my, I'm sorry if this is TMI.
I was checking out my chapped area ( been spotting for 22 days now ) and saw what appeared to be that infamous white stuff around the outsides. Upon closer inspection it IS that white stuff. ( Not yeast ) Every now and then that stuff seems to grow and not sure what causes it.
UNFORTUNATELY is has grown what looks to be under the clitoral hood. I can NOT lift that ( OUCH PAIN ) and clean under there. In the past I've always taken some warm baths and the problem goes away.
What now? I shower EVERY day, do not use powder or anything else and clean that area throughly. It was swelled up for a while and I guess I didnt' get in there as good as I suspected.
I'm in tears now thinking of how I'm going to get this out without a bath. I'm sure we're not allowed to take one until we've been cleared at our 6-8 week check up.
ANY suggestions?

Call your DR. ASAP. I am unsure as to what you are experencing, but what ever it is it sounds like you may need meds to clear it up. I am so sorry you are in pain. Hope you start feeling better soon

If it were me, I would dilute vinegar and water 50/50 and slosh myself down with that. It doesn't sting as much as you might think unless you've made yourself raw, but even then it quickly resolves to a tingle. I have cleared myself of thrush using vinegar many a time. Vinegar kills 98% bacteria, and as you are swollen I'm sure you will have bacteria there.
When showering do not use anything other than water untill it gets resolved, and even then try to use as little cleansers if possible, and definatly one that is ph balanced and unfragrant.

Hey ladies, and thanks, I can't remember what this is called, but I remember that it is skin cells, oil, and stuff like that. I've always been a clean freak especially with my body. I must wash my hands 100 times a day. I don't particularly like taking baths ( I LOVE showers ) but the bath always broke that stuff up and then I was problem free. Definitely not an infection, I just have to get rid of it. I am going to take an extra long shower tomorrow morning, and sit facing the stream and see if that helps a bit. If not, I may just need to try the vinegar solution. Vinegar cleans everything! I'm sure it's because I was so swelled up down there and wasn't cleaning as well as I thought.
