premarin questions

I have enjoyed the vivelle dot patch as it is bio-identical, which is like what our ovaries used to make.

You can always see how you do on the Premarin, and if it does not help you, you can ask to use something else. There are women who can only take Premarin, so for some it is important in helping them function without bad symptoms.

You can look at our Resources Link Library and read up on Hormones for more information on them.

orbitlynn,
I had the crying jags too. The first few months post op were filled with emotional outbursts and mood swings. It's really not that uncommon as your body recovers from surgery and adjusts to the hormones, it doesn't necessarily mean that the hrt isn't working.

I was put on Vivelle dot immediately after surgery and was on it for 10months. I went back to my Gyn because of the brain fog and flashing...she put me on Premarin...have been on it for 2 weeks so far and it seems to be working.
You may need to try different options before you find one that works best for you.

premarin questions

Hi Orbitlynn
I wasn't prepared to lose my ovaries either, so I can relate to the sudden menopause/ HRT "crash course." You've found a great place for support.

My first HRT didn't work well for me at all. I was switched to Premarin and felt like myself again in very little time. I stayed on it for over 2 years. I have since switched to Femring and that works well for me also.

Sending gentle s your way as you find what works for (((you)))

Hang in there.

premarin questions

It is so great hearing from you girls and finding out how hrt's are working differently for everyone. Aside from the crying jags every so often I feel great. Better than I have felt since my early 20's emotionally and physically. I think I have been listening to my mother too much I know I have to give it a chance and also let the hormonal rush wear off before I know if this hrt is actually ok for me. Thanks soooooooo much for your support This site means the world to my recovery and questions.
