10 months post-op and bleeding w/ intercourse

It has been 10 months and I have started having pain and bleeding with intercourse. It feels as though my cuff is being ripped. Has anyone else had problems with this?

Nikki, call your Dr. for an appointment ASAP. If you have bleeding you could be at risk for an infection, so don't delay.

You may have vaginal tissue thinning, which happens when your estrogen levels go down. It is a normal aging thing, and when you prematurely have your ovaries removed (even one), your estrogen can decrease. If this is the cause of the pain, it is easy to treat with vaginal suppositories of estrogen, Vagifem. I use it twice a week, it isn't messy and it works.
