Now I have a Cold....
will I still be okay for surgery on Monday? Why me? I need this surgery so bad and can't postpone I don't think I can mentally handle it if I have to postpone it. At least I think it is a cold, it could be sinuses too.

Now I have a Cold....
Hi - I got a cold/flu-like thing going around here last week. I called my GP and he called in some antibotices (just in case). They helped alot. You might just call your doc and get his take on it.
Good Luck - Hope all goes well.

Now I have a Cold....
I had a slight cold when I went in to have my TVH. My OB said as long as I wasn't coughing up anything with a color to it and had no fever she would go ahead and do the operation. I did take some over the counter cough meds a few days before. When I woke up from surgery they had me do the little breathe machine a few extra times to make sure nothing settled into my lungs. Hope this helps you a little. Take care

Thank you so much it makes me feel so much better. I did call my Primary and they want to see me just to check my lungs tomorrow. I really do think that it is sinuses though. Fingers crossed that it is. The only reason that I am coughing is cuz of post nasal drip. I just don't think I can postpone the surgery. and my DH is angry now that I called my Dr. He thinks I am worrying over nothing.

Now I have a Cold....
I have severe chronic allergies and I let the surgeons know in advance that I could very well have sinus symptoms at the time of surgery and that postponing would not work because there was no guarantee that the symptoms would go away. They were fine with that and let me take a Zyrtec D after midnight before the surgery.
