Surgeon for TAH/BSO
This may be a silly question, but I was just wondering - are all TAH/BOS done strictly by gyn's or are they also done by general surgeons. I had a lymph node biopsy two years ago and I loved that surgeon, he was fantastic.
Thanks,
Wendy

Surgeon for TAH/BSO
Hi Wendy Why don't you ask him what his experience is with hysts? They are done by Gyns, OB/Gyns, Urogyns, Gyn/Oncologists, sometimes general surgeons... I've probably forgotten one or two.

-Linda

Surgeon for TAH/BSO
Thanks Linda. I did contact two general surgeons, but they don't do hysterectomies. Looks like I have to wait for my gyn. He tried to get me in with another gyn sooner, but no luck.

Surgeon for TAH/BSO
A general surgeon opened me up and removed my gall bladder. He had a gyn surgeon on hand to do the actual hyst/bso. I don't know which one closed me up (maybe they flipped a coin???), but whichever one it was, they did a great job!
