knowledge is power!!
i am new to this site and i am overwhelmed at all the knowledge i ve gained and so thankful i found this site. my surgery for a TAH/BSO is scheduled for 8-27-01. 2 days ago i was very ignorant and took this surgery lightly, today my eyes are wide open and i want to know everything i can between now and my surgery.
I truly thought after 3 easy c-sections (the last in 1985) this surgery would be a walk in the park! My husband told me I was crazy to think that because it is a totally different surgery (i hate it when he's right) but a million thanks to all who set me straight, I am so grateful to know the truth - hats off or should i say crowns off to you all!!
I plan on turning this website inside out and learning everything i can in the next 12 days whether it's good or bad, fearful or reassuring the knowledge and your support will be the power in my recovery. Thank you all from the bottom and I mean the bottom of my heart!! karen chief executive coordinator

Hi Maxi,
Rest assure, only after 2 days of reading this website did i learn more information then my little brain could handle.
I began on the home page in the section with the pullouts. I read every pullout and then went to the support message boards. I 've only just begun to read these, but i plan on reading everything!! Please let me know if you don't understand how to use the pullouts. I will be glad to help you.
Good luck and God speed in your surgery and recovery.

This site absolutely saved my sanity before my TAH a year ago. I had no idea what to expect, and the wonderful women here answered all my questions, held my hand and helped me prepare!
Keep reading, and post all your questions here - we'll do our best to help!
