losing weight

I know a couple people have mentioned that they feel "smaller". Has anyone else actually lost weight? I lost about 5 pounds last week but chalked it up to nausea and not eating much, but I've lost 2 more pounds because I'm just not hungry. Nothing sounds good and even when I do eat I get full fast.

Not complaining ..another 10 pounds would be fine. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I wonder if my doctor secretly did a bypass while he was in there.

I lost a few pounds. I'm back to about my normal weight now though. I think because I'm at 4 weeks and my life is back

Maybe you'll be better at hiding than I've been!

I find that I'm still not as hungry as I've normally been, but I'm eating things that aren't as healthy as before... So, now that I'm typing this out and realizing, I'm going to stop with the junk food!!

Maybe the pounds will get lost again

Yep, that was me who wrote about feeling small...

I've lost a total of 10 pounds so far. I really didn't get my appetite back until week three, so lack of appetite so soon after your surgery is probably what is behind your weight loss.

I have my appetite back, but I find that I don't eat much at one sitting. I'm more of a grazer now, but I've always heard that grazing is really a healthier way to eat (keeps your blood sugar at a more consistent level), so that's cool.

Here's some good news for those of you who are wondering if/when the weight will come back. I'm more than 3 months out, and JUST got back to my pre-surgical weight. And I've been TRYING to get there, because GI problems prior to the surgery made me lose a lot (I'm 5'2" and 114 today). Now I'm wondering how easy it will be to stop gaining . . .

losing weight

With the weight loss, I'm actually working at it now. I've changed to smaller meals (using a smaller plate so it looks better) & am gradually increasing my exercise too. My appetite is less than it used to so I'm trying to use this time to develop new eating habits that I'd like to continue long term.

I've definitely lost weight post op but was already losing weight pre-op so am relieved to feel it coming off still. The hardest part is avoiding comfort eating, thankfully I'm able to exercise a little more now so this is helping as I tend to walk out the front door when I want to comfort eat (trying to get as far away as possible from temptation - sometimes it takes kms before the urge passes ).

For me it's about celebrating a new body & a new life.

I've lost about 8lbs since surgery and the Dr wants to keep an eye on me as I am at the lower end of the healthy range.

I am one of those annoying people that can lose weight very quickly and take forever to put it back on.

Believe me, it can be a huge problem!
