Heart health with no hrt?

I'm 41 I had my hyst 6 years ago. I have tried everything under the sun and i feel horrible all the time. Nothing ever really makes me feel good like before hyst. So I have decided to go off. I can go days before I feel a slight hot flash. But I am more worried abouth our heart health without it. My cholestrol is pretty high and I have also read that hrt can contribute to that. What do we do for heart health without hrt?

We exercise by doing some kind of aerobic type exercise like walking, running, biking etc. and eat a heart healthy diet low in saturated and trans fat. We take cholestorol medicine if our cholestorol is high.

mware, is your cholesterol being high genetic? If so, you may need the dr's help with that.

I think cholesterol being high is contributed to by testosterone, not estrogen, but you may want to read up on that.

The suggestions suzy makes below will help if your high cholesterol is caused by life style choices.
