off to the castle in one hour

It's finally here and I can't wait!! Since I was told a month ago that I needed to say good bye to my uterus for my anemia I have worried and eaten for comfort. My periods slowed down and then I thought maybe this is the wrong thing. Well guess what has come back to rear it's ugly head!! The bowel prep was a breeze but taking care of the other thing is enough. I woke up today excited to finally have the big day here. I am so looking forward to getting a bladder sling. I am just waiting to check in one hour!!! The future will be brighter minus that old uterus. No more only wearing black pants and carrying a big purse for my supplies. I will have energy and I can't wait. For those who are nervous and scared you have made the right decision! Your body will recover and then we can all start a new chapter in our lives!!!

I had to laugh at the carrying a big bag comment. With all of my hemmoraging, I have to admit, I never carried a big purse.....my purse is literally the size of a large wallet. BUT, my car was well outfitted with a supply of Super Plus tampons. I still find them, from time to time.....a friend of mine told me to leave some in my car, just in case she needs one while we are together. LOL!
