dermoid cysts

anyone still going through dermoid cyst problems? I have cyst #6 and #7, 4 surgeries under my belt...three laporatomy and one laporoscopy.....I just got a sonogram result that the cyst doubled in size in 3 months and I am not taking the news so well....I am TIRED of all this, I have one beautiful daughter (IVF conceived, and I am still struggling with infertility due to all this crap) and I am afraid of losing whats left of my ovaries...I have 1/4 of my left and 3/4 of my right but obviously they don't work but still don't want to lose them....just need some support from someone who understands what I am going through....

I wish you all the best and hope that a miricle happens for you! How does your body cope with healing of scar tissue that is opened again? I am worried and curious about that.

dermoid cysts

someplace: scar tissue was the primary reason for my infertility, it was so bad it blocked my tubes...the surgeries and removal of parts of my ovaries during surgery is another of my issues, I have poor ovarian reserve and not very good quality eggs left...it is such an ordeal, every surgery and I am not looking forward to it, and of course comes the question: to keep the ovaries or not...but at the rate I am going I am having surgery almost every 3 years going on 12 years now and I have about had it...I am 36 and would love another child more than anything but I wish I had a crystal ball because if I knew it would never happen I would just get rid of these ovaries now and save myself from future surgeries....I am just confused and TIRED....why do I keep producing these **** cysts??? my body just loves to make these I suppose.

bellajoy, does your doctor believe that your ovaries are the root of the problem? I have read with mucinous cysts that the "disease" can be in a different organ such as the appendix or intestines and just using the ovary as a host as it has such a good blood supply i don't understand it too well but it seems that the cells must be generating from somewhere. I have also asked the question why is my body making these , there must be a reason an some way to help. I suppose you have had ultrasound therapy to help with the scar tissue? hope you have a good day.
