Incisions healing after Dermabond?

My doctor used Dermabond to close my incisions. It finally started peeling off the left incision two days ago and it's freaking me out. The incision is very pinkish-red and looks like there's a valley or depression in the middle! I have not seen the other two incisions yet since the Dermabond is still on.
I have the connective tissue disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and skin texture, poor wound healing and distinctive scar formation are all issues. My distinctive scars helped diagnose me officially. Dermabond was used because my skin is too fragile for sutures and I had them tear out with a previous laparoscopy.
I found an old thread about this issue but the posters were few and mostly shortly after the hyst. The thread was too old for me to resurrect. My questions are, have any other sisters had Dermabond? If so, did their incisions do this and do they heal more and get thinner and more filled in with time?

Thank You.

Incisions healing after Dermabond?

Mine started peeling too. And unforn I decided the pieces sticking out drove me nuts. But mine also look like depressions. Since it is still pink I just put some neosporin on it and let it air dry and keep them from being pulled apart. I have experience with that stuff causing ketoids by not being careful with it but so far so good. In a few more days I m gonna use Vitamin E oil to help it heal.

Incisions healing after Dermabond?

All right, the Dermabond has pretty much peeled off the left incision completely and it's not a little valley but a very big depression. There's still stuff in the middle so I can't tell what's going on there. I'm afraid the skin might have separated. I've had surgical scars do that to me before. It looks like something out of a horror movie! I won't be able to see my doctor until Monday at the earliest and again I am wondering if this is normal and if it will improve with time.....

Incisions healing after Dermabond?

my doctor used dermabond on my incision and I know what you mean when you say it looks like a valley or depression! it does heal and the incision heals from the inside out, it will look better with time. I would really caution when you decide to put something on the wound without consulting with your doctor first , sometimes putting creams etc prevents the wound to properly heal by keeping it moist which could even cause fungus
I was always told by my surgeon to always keep incision clean and dry to avoid infections etc.....
I pray that your incision heals properly without any complications, a big

Incisions healing after Dermabond?

I had the dermabond too. It didn't start coming off until I took a shower & that would have been on day 3 for me. Then it came up a little bit at a time & when it came off all the way it did have a little valley that it left there. I am now 6 weeks & they are healed up fine. I didn't put anything on them, just kept them clean & they got lots of air. Best wishes!

Incisions healing after Dermabond?

My doctor put Dermabond on my bikini incision. Even though I'm allergic to Morphine, my doctor ordered I be given it in the recovery room. This led to four hours of violent vomiting, which caused my incision to rupture along the entire length. It was a nighmare. I did not heal for six weeks. I had a large hematoma that bled from my incision for the six weeks. It was very painful and did not heal well. I now have pain and burning along the incision and I'm in pain every day. I didn't know about Dermabond before my TAH/BSO because I was consented for a LAVH. My doctor breached my informed consent and did the TAH because it was easier and faster for her to do. My doctor betrayed my trust. I did not need a TAH and its incision, etc. I'm writing this so that women in the planning stages are aware of what can happen if a doctor doesn't care about you as a patient.
