leep and estrace

Hi Estrace cream or other vaginal estrogen products are often prescribed to help with healing. If the vagina is deprived of estrogen, the tissues can get dry and fragile and tend to tear easily and not heal well from injury or surgical procedures. So, your DR is just trying to make sure you are in great shape.

My oncologist often prescribes vaginal estrogen products for her breast cancer patients, myself included. I use Vagifem, which is a tiny tablet prepackaged in a disposable applicator - I like it because it's easy to insert and mess-free. It works great! It's the same estrogen (estradiol) as in Estrace vaginal cream.

I hope this helps!
