anyone else have peeling skin from down below?p/o day 6

my incision is FINE- I'm doing great (now that I have experienced the unquieted discomfort that 'overdoing' results in!)

my skin is peeling in and all around my pubic hair almost right up to my vagina!!
my planned surgery was total abd. hyst due to ovarian cancer..... SO there wasn't supposed to be much going on in the vaginal area (as far as I know anyway- I was sleeping!)

I discovered the peeling skin this morning- It's like a thin scab- or thick peeling skin like after a bad sunburn... and is just REALLY weird (a bit disconcerting as I was CERTAINLY not expecting this!!) and being xmas- don't want to bother calling the MD on this one.

Anyone else have any experience with this? I don't want to moisturize- afraid it might accidentally introduce bacteria to close to the vaginal opening. I sat for 20 minutes and a mirror trying to 'peel' it all and my neck got sore, so had to stop! LOL. It's not causing any discomfort- other than sort of freaking me out.
Any thoughts to share sisters?
(keeping my humor here)

Merry Knishmas!!

Hi Dana
You just missed a thread that we had going for a number of days related to the same topic. If your situation is the same as our other sister it could be a betadyne burn--basically a reaction of sensitive skin to the solution.
