Wondering what amount of discharge is normal?

Hi, new sister here. Had a LAVH on Dec. 17th. Have quite a bit of discharge still but as long as it isn't funky I guess it's ok. Anyone else still have discharge, wondering what amount is normal? Sort of wondering where its coming from if they close up the back of your va jay jay

Wondering what amount of discharge is normal?

I had bleeding discharge for 8 weeks after the surgery as I had had a small internal bleed and Doc felt it was appropriately working its way out and his advice was so long as you are not soaking a sanitary pad more often than 1 every 30mins then there is no need to panic. (If you are, you need to see a Dr very quickly - but likewise, if you are worried check with your medico.) The ongoing bleeding / discharge was annoying, but he was right - it did work itself out. Getting sufficient rest helped too. Apparently the body allows discharge to work its way through the tissues and the surgery doesn't interfere with the vagina's capacity to cleanse itself of fluids and discharge that aren't needed.

Thank you, no it's not so heavy. More annoying walking with a diaper ;0)
