Six weeks check up - DIDN'T Hurt!

Just wanted everyone to know that I had my six weeks post op check including internal exam. Everything has healed quite nicely. It didn't hurt at all. My yearly papsmears hurt and this didn't hurt at all.

I was kind of frustrated though because he seemed to dismiss the pain I am having. Even though he explained it away, it still felt like I was being rushed. He did say to take things easy for 3-6 months, yet I have no restrictions and have been released completely including sex, even though there were still a couple of stitches "hanging on" (His words). He did explain that the skin was completely healed though. Still think I will wait about sex for a few days!!!!

Just thought I would share!

Sounds like a good idea to wait a bit on sex since you still have some stitches "hanging on." Glad to hear you are doing well.

Those words drive me batty!!! I know common sense comes in to play here, but I just wish there was a better way to put into words what you can and can't do. I am normally very active, and I am scared about messing up the healing process.

No restrictions, but take it easy. What does that mean???????

Glad to hear you are healing so well, and I do not blame you one bit for holding off on the sex part. I have about a week to go before I go for my post op check up, and I am nervous about getting the green light about sex!

Here's to hoping that our feet will never be in those stirrups again!!!!!!!!! CHEERS!

Six weeks check up - DIDN'T Hurt!

I have my post-op visit with my surgeon tomorrow, almost 7 weeks post-op, but I had an exam at the er last night and it was not comfortable, the complete opposite.

But I have been having other issues so that may be the reason.
