liposuction with hyster

My Dr. said I could have liposuction at the same time as my hyster. Has anyone done this? What was the cost? What about recovery?

Sorry, I can't answer your questions, but I wanted to write and say good for you for looking into this a head of time. I was so anxious to get the dermoid cyst out of me that I didn't take time to explore other options. If I had had enough time and thought about it first, I may have had an additional surgeon in there to a tummy tuck and or liposuction. I would think it would be less expensive since you already have the operating room reserved . I am interested to see the replies you get for this. Good Luck!

I am very pleased with my results after having a SAH on 12/17/08, my plastic surgeon performed a tummy tuck with lipo. This was my 4th abdominal surgery and I wanted everything reconstructed. It just so happened that the tumnmy tuck may have saved my life. Because of the tummy tuck my ob/gyn was able to make any type of incision.

My ob/gyn ended up going with a vertical although I had 3 prior bikini incisions. This was a life saving choice, since my bowels were positioned in front of my uterus.

It did take some coordination between my ob/gyn and plastic surgeon. I was very fortunate that they both worked out of the same hospital.

I'm very happy to say, I have a brand new, near perfect tummy and belly button.
