Post Op exam, when?

I see a lot of you posting that it was at 6 weeks. My Dr wants to see me at 2 weeks. I'm really worried that it's going to hurt since I'm still very sore as it is now and my check up is only 8 days away.
So has anyone else had there exam only a few weeks after surgery?

Post Op exam, when?

Mine is scheduled for 2wks and 6wks. I think the 2wk one is just an incision check and not an internal.

Post Op exam, when?

My dr. scheduled a 2 week and 6 week appt. at the same time they scheduled my pre-op. The 2 week was just to check the incision and make sure everything was going okay, answer any questions, and go over the pathology report.

Post Op exam, when?

I think reading everyone else's posts it must just be a check on your tummy.

I had a tvh and was told see you in 6-8 weeks, didnt even make an appt for me?!! Blah, doesnt help me with all my spastic bladder problems!

Post Op exam, when?

I had serious complications which meant I had internal exams at 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and daily for a few days when in the hospital for the infection. The only exam that hurt was the first one when I had an internal blood clot and infection. The others were painless....less so than before the surgery. The speculum did not hurt. They also clipped a stitch and used silver nitrate to treat some tissue - that did not hurt either.

Don't worry, if they decide to do an internal exam the doctor will be very careful not to hurt you. Maybe you won't need one!

Post Op exam, when?

At my 2 week post op appointment, the nurse checked the incision only. I see the doctor at six weeks, I guess for full exam. From what I have read, the exam doesn't hurt much at all.

Post Op exam, when?

At my 2 wk post op I was checked in every way! lol I had been bleeding a few days before so she did u/s both tummy and vaginal, then she checked me vaginally to see if the stitches were okay.

It was uncomfortable for the most part. I was still really tender. But it wasn't real painful..

My TAH post op is scheduled for 2 weeks and 6 weeks. They were scheduled at the same time as surgery and pre-op were scheduled.

I have one at two weeks for sure. At that one, I'll find out what's next.
