adding prometrium what about adding testosterone?

well as you can see i am going to give the prometrium a try. any suggestions on when to take it, like do i take it at the same time as my estrace. also with absolutely no libido right now, prometrium helps that right? or do i need to add the testosterone too? i just called my md to see if he will add it and am waiting for a call back. i am unsure about adding 2 things at once or should i wait and see what the prometrium does? any suggestions please send!! ive been reading all the articles on progesterone too. all i know right now is i want to just feel NORMAL!!

Wheeze,
For some the prometrium can make you sleepy. You might want to try taking it at night to start with and see how it goes.

As for the testosterone, you may find that once your estrogen and progesterone get balanced you don't need it. I would give the prometrium a try and see what happens. You can always add the testosterone if you find that your libido is still missing.

Slow and easy wins the race in the jungle. JMHO I think it is best to add one thing at a time.

Good luck Wheeze. Do let us know how you do on the prometrium.

I second Kim's suggestion...we have learned through our own mistakes to only change one thing at a time, giving at least 4 weeks before switching anything unless.
A word of caution about testosterone. Get some lab work done before adding it. I had a horrible experience with taking it when I did not need it and still a year later have to deal with a mustache. Testosterone supplementation is a wonderful thing if you need it just make sure your lab work shows you need it...if not be very very careful and add it in small increments.
Best wishes and let us know how you do on the progesterone

THANK YOU i will am on my way to the pharmacy soon to pick this script up. i sure hope it helps, ive been reading others messages in the message board and am finding alot of other women experincing the same exact symptoms as i am, especially with the brain fog and trying to put together a comprehensible sentence and all the anxiety and what not that goes along with this. today i sent my husband all my articles and what not and gave him the drs # so he could call him and relay what i was feeling in a meaninful manner cuz it is so hard to explain myself...god i cant wait to see if this progesterone helps!!! you know just cuz you got depression on your chart, which ive explained was a situational thing and is fine now, everyone thinks thats what it is. i think i know myself better than that. i just want to do what is right and not get to the real issue. i mean it just seem that if you break your nail and it hurts, you cry your depressed, i mean come on. for me its been the brain fog, the insomnia and the moodiness, like a light switch. i ve had nightmares, occ breast tenderness, weight gain and bloatiness which fluctuates alot. so i am really hoping this will help.
