Bright red blood 7 weeks post op?

Hi Everyone - I had an abdominal hysterectomy 7 weeks ago and have just returned to work (day 2). I noticed bright red blood a short while ago and its frightened me since I've had no bleeding since the procedure till now. A bit of dark discharge after sex, but nothing like this. I still have my ovaries and cervix.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with this - is it normal etc?

I'm sure that it was alarming to notice the bleeding. You'll want to let your doctor know, of course. Meanwhile, you're welcome to post a new thread on the Post-Op message board. Anyone who can relate will be able to reply to you there.
