Exercise at three months post-TAH

im 3mths post TAH and would really like to do some more exe apart from long walks swim and post tah exe,i would like to improve my muscle tone around my tum but im afraid of doing some damage.anyone found any gentle but effective exe,and will it make my belly more swelly? thanking you for any advice

Exercise at three months post-TAH

I have been doing yoga for 10 years. I was given the all clear this week (6 weeks post op) to exercise 'as tolerated'.
Which to means seems a bit vague (I have issues with my follow up care, but that's another post).

Anyway I found a post natal yoga dvd, I figured it's designed for ladies having recently given birth, c-sections etc so it should work ok for other ladies having had surgery. I just tried it. I took it really slow and even sat out on some of the more involved poses. Seems ok.

Exercise at three months post-TAH

I am 10 weeks post op and I am back at the gym with no problems. I have gone on the eliptical, treadmill and done a weight lifting class. I just remember to take it easy and I don't push myself. But I am sleeping so much better now that I am exercising again every day.

Assuming that you have been given the customary "all clear" from your doctor, I don't think the question is if damage will be done, rather, what will feel comfortable yet challenging.
