Swollen legs and feet?

Hi ladies!
I need to search the boards for more answers to this question, but for now, I can't sit for long.
For the past 2 days, my legs and feet have started swelling pretty badly whenever I am sitting regularly and walking around. When I put them up elevated above my heart for about an hour, the swelling subsides. My questions is...is this common? Has anyone else experienced this? It isnt painful, but rather uncomfortable because it feels as if my skin can not stretch any further. I was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions other than the elevation of the feet. Oh, and I do not eat salt and am drinking lots of fluids
I am seeing my doc on Monday morning, so plan to ask then if it does not subside.

Thanks so much!
Have a great weekend!!!

PS. Had my first bm today and althogh painful, it was the highlight of my week. haha kind of sad, isnt it?

Swollen legs and feet?

It is very normal for your legs/feet to swell after surgery b/c of all the fluids they pump into you. But, it's also a good idea to call your doc and check with them.

Swollen legs and feet?

My feet are puffy as well. Glad to know it's normal. Will ask my doc on Tuesday at my first post-op.

P.S. Congrats on the BM!! I'm jealous. Had to resort to Milk of Magnesia and now have diarrhea

Swollen legs and feet?

Please talk to your doctor about this even if it does go down. Edema can sometimes be a serious issue.
