Feel good; now its time to change Vivelle Dot ????

I am 4 weeks post LAVH/BSO. Started .05 Vivelle Dot following day after surgery. Every thing went well.

What I would like to ask is if you notice that you feel better on the day it's time for a new patch? Does this possibly mean the patch is to high on the first 2 days and perfect the last day? I have stufffy nose, mild headaches, lack of energy and really moody on the first two days of new patch.

I have noted this cycle as being very defined the last 3 patches. Today is the day to change my patch. I feel like I can conquer the world. No mind fog, few aches and I have the desire to think about something other than my physical woes. My DH was very kind last night and just acted like he didn't hear the short replys and comments late last night when I apologized.

Guess it seems like a have PMS on hyperspeed two of the three days. Is it to early to know if I need a lower level of patch? Is the body using the stored estrogen and I will later be happy I had the patch to keep from crashing.

Thank you all for posting your challenges and improvements. It really makes a difference on the difficult days to know you are not alone and improvement is just a week or month away!!!!!

I had a TAH/BSO on Nov 10th. I did not get put on any "HRT" . You are not even to your 6 week post-op yet and if you are taking any pain meds it could be part of your up and downs. I have been suffering with insomina and some hot flashes and alot of bladder pressure mostly at night. These kept me from getting any good rest. I finally crashed last weekend. Cried for 4 days straight ;( I thought I could get by without the use of any "HRT" NOT ! I went running to my GYN yesterday and he started me on the vivelle-dot .05. I am anxious to see what results I get from this. I am a fit "50" yr old and want to remain healthly, and happy and my DH has had to put up with all my terrible mood swings I just suggest that you be sure to contact your Dr. about any changes you are having and continue to keep a daily journal on your symptoms.............good luck and I wish us both to find the best means to promote a happy healthy life
