Pellet questions...

I had a visit with the Uro/Gyn I see about my bladder. I complained about the various forms of estrogen I have tried. The only one that seems to help at all is the plain ol' estradiol pill, but I have to take 2 -3 mg to get relief.

No matter how much oral estradiol I take, it doesn't help my vagina.

She suggested I try the pellet therapy. She suggested a starting dose of 50mg pellet (for now, no testosterone - don 't do well with test). She said the pellet should help my vaginal tissues.

Any experience here? Will the pellet therapy really help? I hate using the estrogen vaginal cream and I didn't like the vagifem pill.

How is 50mg pellet for a starting dose? Will I be able to totally stop all other forms of estrogen? How soon will I fell better? Any experienced pellet girls out there? I really appreciate your input.

Thank you!

Pellet questions...

I ask my Dr. about pellet therapy and he said he doesn't recommend it because if you cannot tolerate it there is nothing you can do to remove it. But I would love to hear from someone who had tried it as well.

Pellet questions...

I have used pellets for almost 1 &1/2 years & I highly recommend them. If another Dr. is recommending them I would check into it. Have you had a hysterectomy?
If you find an experienced Dr. that does these & they see your medical history they will know how much to start you on.
I think within a couple of weeks you will see results. I had a 25mg of Estrogen inserted 6 months ago I am very well lubricated even after 6 months.
This is just my experience & I am not a Dr.

Pellet questions...

Thank you Lilly. I have had a total TAH/BSO and am only 40 so I desperately needs hormones. The compounding pharmacist and the doc seem to think 50mg - 75mg is a good starting point. I will probably start with 50mg. They said it would last about 3 months. Are yours lasting longer?

I would love to give up the estrace vaginal cream - I hate always feeling so messy.

Pellet questions...

It will be 2 years in June for me with pellets. I have had an extremely positive pellet experience. I get my insert and forget about hormones for 5-6 months. It gave me almost everything I needed to get back to my old self, lubrication, libido, general sense of well being, and some energy, no hot flashes, dry eyes, etc. However something was still missing energy wise and I wasnt losing weight like I thought I should be with my level of exercise and healthy eating. So my Dr checked my thryoid and sure enough it needed some tweaking. I added Armour thyroid 4 months ago and it did the trick. I have wonderfuly energy and the 10 lbs I was trying to lose melted away with my exercise/health eating habits. I feel and look great. I get 37.5 E/200T, but most women do very well on the 50E/75T combo. I may even cut back on T at next insert, but I dont have any bad side effects because I only get inserts every 5-6 months.
