Pain while urinating

I know there are probably quite a few posts about this, but finding them and sifting through is a whole other matter.

Anyway, anyone have insight on how long it takes to be able to pee without the bladder spasming and automatically tightening? I'm 8 days post op from a vaginal. It seems to only hurt when I pee and late in the afternoons, but the pain isn't increasing so I doubt I have a UTI.

Thanks!

I'm sorry you're experiencing this but you really do need to check with your doctor and rule out a urinary tract infection. They're so common following this surgery and present in many different guises.

Will you let us know what you find out? Sending all good wishes!

Pain while urinating

I'm 5.5 weeks out and still have some discomfort when emptying my bladder. Mostly when I'm about 1.2 way done emptying is when it starts. My doc said 'if you could see what we have to do to your bladder, you'd understand why it's still cranky.' If I'm still having any issues at 8 weeks he will further investigate.

My bladder went back to normal in the 4th week. I never had a UTI but did use the urinary track pain relief medicine that is over the counter to be more comfortable. It does turn pee orange. Best wishes you feel well soon!
