Re: Contest: Hopes for 2009 - Reply to enter: Win a Bed Tray! (2 winners!)

I actually did not think this would find me so emotional - two years later. You see, my husband gave up the possession he LOVED the most in order to pay for my treatments when my insurance reached Maximum Payout.

I hope to replace the boat he sold. Now, he's not selfish. That boat is how he taught adults and children, alike, how to fish and boat safely. In fact, he used it for our non-profit, OUTDOOR-OUTREACH, INC. And all he has ever said is that he would sell it all over, again for me to get better.

I hope to be a positive influence on ANYONE going through the illnesses leading up to this life-changing surgery.

I hope for all to receive the best of medical, emotional, and spiritual recovery assistance, I received.

I hope for an Ovarian Cancer Cure. But then, I am sure we all hope for that.

My hope for 2009: I want my husband to quit smoking. If I can lose my uterus, he can say bye bye to cigarettes!

I have high hopes for the remainder of 2009. I am looking to make each day a new adventure. I will not live to be my Pre-Hystectomy self. The days of pain and fear are behind me.
I don't want to feel normal. I want to feel great. I will enjoy my Husband more, because I will hurt less. Less is more when it comes to a few spare parts that I am better off without.
I am evolving into a more total woman and not the sum of my parts. It will be a great year!

My hopes for the rest of 2009 is to be able to play with my children and enjoy the wonderful life that God has provided me.
