adrenal fatigue?
How do I know if I'm in adrenal fatigue? I've read some articles on symptoms and I don't really have any of them. When I had my cortisol levels checked - they were good.
I sleep well, no weight gain. I don't handle stress very well yet but I'm still in the process of balancing and getting my hormones right.

adrenal fatigue?
Hi!
If you don't have symptoms and you've had your cortisol levels checked and they are good, I wouldn't worry.
I know from experience that it's best not to try to diagnosis illness. You can cause yourself unnecessary worry doing that. Life's too short to worry about something that may not even happen. Reading on the internet can be useful but if it causes you to have more worries, do yourself a favor and find other things to do--things you enjoy.

adrenal fatigue?
ha, ha.... that is so true isn't it. I'll try and stop worrying - my anxiety has been up lately and I'm sure it's from the worrying. I need to keep my mind occupied!! I went out for a walk and that felt so GOOD.

(((Seablue))), I'm glad the walk felt good. A change of scenery, getting involved in an activity you enjoy doing, reading, etc. are all good ways to occupy the mind to steer away from the what-if sort of thinking.
I hope you have a relaxing evening!

adrenal fatigue?
I've been doing a ton of research on adrenal fatigue because I firmly believe I have it and am discussing with my doctor on my next visit. From what I'm reading standard blood tests will only show the extremes of adrenal fatigue and you could still be suffering from it. Here's some sites I found useful.

adrenal fatigue?
I have adrenal fatigue. Diagnosed not only based on symptoms but also with saliva testing. DHEA is extremely low, cortisol a.m. is low (didn't do the 4X daily test, just a.m.). Another indicator is depressed immunity, and if you're hypothyroid, if your T3 gets too high while your T4 is still low, that's another indicator. Other symptoms: stress, fatigue, sugar craving, salt craving, chemical insensitivity, allergies/asthma, arthritis, aches/pains, headaches, sleep disturbances, bone loss and weight gain in the waist.
Am taking DHEA and adrenal support supplements. Some drs do not believe in "adrenal fatigue". In fact few endocrinologist believe it's real. My worst symptoms are increased allergies (despite allergy shot treatment) and asthma. And salt cravings.....
