Yes I did have some back pain. Although I think my back pain was due to me straining my back trying not to use my abs. I just was scared to tighten my abs for anything so I did end up with a backache.

I had some similar back pain but I just assumed it was one of those you don't use it, you lose it. My lower back gets very crampy when I overdo it, it's a not so gentle reminder to STOP and relax!

I've had back pain since about week 3. More in the middle of my back, though. Kind of between and below the shoulder blades. Also have a weird feeling like I'm laying on a ball or something in the middle of my back. Called the dr at 3 weeks and she said it was probably residual pain from the surgery but it's still there, whether I'm sitting, laying down or sometimes, even standing.

I did have my back pain between my shoulders too. I think it was from sitting my laptop or book on my legs and slouching over. But it went away after a few days of not doing it. I hope you feel better soon!

Body aches

I returned to work in August but only did a few shifts because of shocking pain in my thoracic spine. I am currently undergoing cortisone injections and now a procedure next week. I don't know how this happened, it was not there before my hysterectomy and is in the area where I had the epidural. Did you ladies have epidurals?
If this procedure on the facet joint doesn't work I will have to sell my home, I had so much time off with the hyster and now with this. Wish me luck, I wish you luck.

It might be a good idea to run this by your doctor, just for your own peace of mind. When I was discharged from the hospital I was told that low back pain was normal, but to call my doctor if I experienced any upper back pain as that is sometimes a symptom of pulmonary embolism. Also watch for any shortness of breath.

I hope you feel better soon.

It doesn't say in your signature what typeof hyst. you had.. But if you had a laprascopic hyst. my doc. says that they sort of strap you in and tilt the table, head down, so he said that would explain some of my shoulder pain. Plus, I hear a lot on the site that it can be from the co2 gas they use in the laparascopy and will eventually go away.
