Blood Clots

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone had a blood clot as result of hrt and what the symptoms where. I have a pain in my calf and I know that that is something you are suppossed to watch for, but what kind of pain is it? Is there suppossed to be redness and swelling? My pain is in my left calf and some in my upper right thigh. It is not constant and actually seems to be letting up right now. It is a sharp pain. There is no redness or swelling though. I also have pain in my back behind my shoulder blade but I think that is unrelated.

Please call your doctor now. If he can't see you go to the ER. I had a blood clot (DVT) in my right leg at 3 weeks post op. My only symptom was pain in my inner thigh. There was no swelling, no redness and it didn't feel warm or hot to the touch.

Please call now. Pain in the upper back is sometimes a symptom of a pulmonary embolism. Blood clots can break off and travel and cause serious problems.

Ok I called my doctor, and am still waiting for him to call back. What kind of pain were you having? Was it constant or just off and on? Did it travel to your lungs? Sorry the 20 questions I am just real worried!!

Blood Clots

My leg pain was worse when I was up and walking. It would feel better when I elevated it. After a couple of days the pain got so bad and wouldn't go away. I went to the ER and was admitted.

I didn't have any back pain. If I did, I would have gone to the ER immediately. Please, if you think this could be a clot don't wait for your doctor to call back. Go to the ER. It may not be a clot, but you won't know for certain until you are seen by a doctor.

Don't wait. Go now. As I said before, if it is a clot a piece could break off and travel to your lung. Blood clots can be fatal. Don't wait for your doctor to call. Please let us know what the doctor says.
