I miss holding and playing with our pets

I'm so glad you've found a way to snuggle with you chihuahua. I've been feeling a bit achy again this week, and my big furball jumped up on the bed with me again last night and snuggled right next to my tummy. It was just what the doctor ordered!

I miss holding and playing with our pets

hi,
I have 6 dogs !
a sheltie mix (15 lbs.) 9 yrs. old
plus 5 chihuahua's !
the momma (8 lbs.) 2 yrs. old
& 4 pups (2 at 7 lbs. - 1 at 6 lbs. - 1 at 4 lbs.)
and 6 months old now
they are great for the healing process
I use a pillow on my tummy and a blanket and they
lay on the side of me. but I would miss there kisses
& hugs way to much if I didnt let them be with me.
they can tell I had something done, they are more
gentle & causious with me right now.
they also share our bed at night.
and my hubby takes care of them !
enjoy hugging your pets while healing
its a great feeling !

I miss holding and playing with our pets

I have a black lab mix who's about 65 pounds and he is my constant companion. I took two pillows and stuffed them into an extra large pillow case, and kept that on my tummy the whole time I was recuperating. My doggie usually attacks me with love and kisses whenever he can (which I don't mind!) but the pillow must have sent him some kind of signal to be gentle with me. He spent every minute of my 6 weeks recovery time resting with his "chin" on my feet and just wouldn't leave my side unless someone took him out to do his thing in the yard. He was so tender and loving, honestly, I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it. I had friends/relatives/co-workers who couldn't be bothered to even send an e-mail, so no wonder I like my dog better than I like most people.

I kept saying to my dog, "I'm sorry I'm so boring!" because I couldn't play, couldn't even feed him, but I am his person and he helped me heal.

Nice story, sox and candy, and I can just see that. Our pets are way smarter than we realize and so senstive too. They know when we are hurting and just want to help without hurting us.
