I have been scheduled for August 28th.

Ok well looks like my time is here I have been scheduled for a TVH this coming Tuesday. They will also be removing my gallbladder. I am nervous and scared but the pain and constant bleeding is getting to be unbearable. I kept putting it off till I had a gallbladder attack last week. Had an appointment with gyn and he told me since my gallbladder had to go that he and the other surgeon could do both at once. So also considering I just started my 2nd period this month it is time to face the music. Sorry rambling what should I be prepared for I am 33 and a single mom. Will there be lots of pain after and how will the hormones effect me? Thanks ya'll

I have been scheduled for August 28th.

You don't say how old your child is, but for my last surgery color books and crayons were a God-send! Something for us to do together! Lots of books, make sure anything you want to drink will be in containers that aren't too heavy. Milk gallon size is too much at first! Pre cooking and freezing or lots of microwave stuff is really helpful. So is having a table with little things you will need at home is very useful if your child is too small to help. Like chap stick, meds, lotions, and the like. Maybe a small cooler next to your resting spot so you can use out of that and not have to get up to get drinks and snacks.
From what I have heard at this site, pain varies...some have about an 8 (from 1-10) most have about a 4. Guess we are going to find out!
But someone will be along soon to help you with that who knows more than I.
Just wanted to say Hello! And that you aren't alone! They are leaving my ovaries during my TVH. How come they are taking yours? I hear it is best to leave them if there is no history of cancer or disease in your family. Hope you are ok!
Will be praying for you!
