Spotting & Feel Like A Period is About to Start

Hello ladies!

Hope you can help me with some advice. I recently had a hysterectomy, fibroids along with more fibroids found after my uterus was removed. I recently returned to work (1wk ago) and have noticed that after using the girls room there has been spotting on the toilet paper. Sorry that sounds gross, but I don't know how else to describe. Is this something to be concerned about and call my doctor? I actually feel like a period is about to begin.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone.

Thanks!
Marti

Hi Marti,

You can never go wrong by calling your doctor and reporting what you are experiencing.

Often times when women wipe the spotting is not coming from the vagina but from the rectum. A difficult bowel movement, old hemorrhoid, or some constipation can cause a little blood to be on the tissue and would explain the discomfort in your belly.

That being said call and see what they say. You will feel better knowing for sure.
