Vaginal and Lower Pelvic Pain - Any one else?

Hi Sisters! I am day 11 after a TAH/BSO and have been having low pelvic pain with pelvic and vaginal pressure when I urinate and BM's are normal now but still painful. I went to the Doctors yesterday and they ran some tests. They think everything is fine just that I overdid last week. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this. I feel pretty good otherwise - just taking it one day at a time! Hope everyone is doing well.
God Bless!

I overdid it at 3 weeks post op and experienced similar problems with more pain, pressure and bleeding. I back off quickly and it got better in a couple of days. Please be careful - you are still very early in recovery.
Best Wishes!

I have that also, must be the healing process? Pressure on the bladder?

I had lower pelvic pain after 1 week. I had a UTI and spastic bladder. Doctor prescribed Augmentin for 5 days for the infection and Bethanachol and Urelle. It took about 10 days until the urinary flow returned to normal and I have no pain or spasms. The in-office urinary test came back negative, but the culture came back positive so I was suffering for an additional 5 days not knowing I had the UTI!

Vangoflower-I am suffering with bladder pain and constant urination. My in office test came back negative and they won't give me anything until the culture comes back. I can relate to your suffering. I just assumed because the test was negative in the office, that the culture would be negative, as well. At least I can look forward to the culture maybe being positive and hopefully getting some antibiotics and some relief! I can't imagine what else it can be if it is not a UTI.

Yes, I am 4 wks post op and still have low pelvic pain and pressure. I did have an anterior repair done and a TVT though which seem to be the culprits.

11 days post op isn't very long, I think you need more time!

Thanks Sisters for your responses. I feel better knowing I am not alone! I think sometimes I am not giving myself enough credit - I am not even 2 weeks post-op! When I am stressed I clean and organize and I feel trapped because I can't do these things! I am trying to heel, my brother is in the hospital with a collapsed lung and my husband just got a phone call that he has been laid off!! Thanks, for letting me vent - you are all so wonderful! Continued healing to all!! God Bless!

CapeCodder,

Even if your culture comes back negative, you could be having bladder spasms due to trama from the surgery. Ask your doctor about Urelle.

Vaginal and Lower Pelvic Pain - Any one else?

Hello hystersisters, I'm new to the site and so relieved to be able to share with someone. I am so anxious about the things that are happening and like many do not want to bother the M.D. I know that I have done too much. I am 21 days postop(doesn't seem as though it has been that long) I did not know what was too much I was cooking supper the first couple of nights after getting home. 5th day out getting clothes out of the washer and dryer. I was hurting but I thought it was normal due to I was unable to take the pain meds (vomiting) was up a lot the first and second week not resting in bed but in a chair. My 14th day I had to go help an employee because all of my employees quit that week except for two (I have a cleaning service) I just dusted but I was up all day. I hurt really bad in the left lower pelvic area and was very swollen. Needless to say, I definately was down for the weekend. Did not get out of bed for two days. Pain began to improve but I was scared.
Urination hurts. is this normal? its a muscle pain in my abdomen (burning pain) hold my breath sometimes. Passing gas and having a bowel movement has been difficult but improving. I then had to clean a fitness center used an industrial mop used my arms as much as I could. That pain in my left lower pelvic area came back constant ache I ve noticed today somthing new: sticking (needle) pain to the side of the incision comes and goes in two different areas.

Is this stuff normal? I haven't had help I didn't have a family member that could come stay with me and care for me. I am upset about the circumstances and also scared I have hurt myself.
