Sleeping position

Just wanted to share that ever since last tuesday at 1 week post op, I have been sleeping on my side with a pillow in between my legs and one pushed up against my stomach. Untill then I was trying to sleep on my back and since returning from the castle I was not getting much sleep. I am a side sleeper and my back is usely the last postion I can sleep in.

But by putting the pillow in between my legs I find it removes the pressure off the stiches and I have sleept just fine ever since.

Just though I would share that with you Ladies. My recovery is doing just fine. Still drinking plenty of fluids and am taking short walks outside now to my mailbox for the last 3 days. Weather just beautyfull and enjoying it. Wishing you all continued good recoveries.

Sleeping position

Kit:

I actually bought a body pillow on the advice of my Dr. (best woman I ever met), I used it from the time I came home from the castle. I still use it now 4.5 weeks post op. I didn't have any problems with my sleeping position and I had no problems with stitches ( so far).

Sleeping position

Thanks for the advice, I will try the pillows. I am having a terrible time sleeping. I am awake and up at least 6 times a night.

I even stopped taking the vicodin thinking it was keeping me up, but now I'm in pain. TAH/BSO 5 days ago.

thanks. I will try this

I'm not a doctor but if you are in pain you should take your pain meds. I think is normal to have a certain amount of insomnia. Call your doctor and get some feedback. Take care of yourself and by all means try the pillows it worked wonders for me.
