I had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago, still alot of burning. No UTI, or vaginal infection. I was told I have a small pocket of old blood in my pelvis. Could this be causing some external burning. Had first Big O 1 1/2 weeks after surgery, Im worried that I did I caused harm. Thanks for any help.

Hello and welcome!

What type of surgery did you have? Was it a TAH or other? Where is the burning? Vaginal? Incisional?

Hi runner - I had a lap exporatory and then a TAH 6 months later. I also have stabbing pains here and there and my belly is sore to the touch. My doc told me to expect pain here and there as my body "remodeled" itself. Healing takes time...maybe up to a year so give yourself some time to heal up. Don't be so hard on yourself. Have you had your 6 week follow up yet? I'd discuss the issues with your doc. It sounds as if you are dissapointed in your decision. Is it because of the pain?

I hope you feel better soon.

Does your stabbing pain seem to be external also? I just worry that I did something wrong. I talked with my gyn and he thinks anxiety is making it worse.
I wish I would have tried something else before the hyst.
Thanks

The pains are both deeply internal and around the incision site. There are so many nerves that are waking up right now that I have pain on and off. I am tired of being in pain but, I also know its part of the healing process as my body works through it.

Can I ask why you had your hyster?
