Estrace

I caved and started Estrace 1mg 4 days ago. So far so good, no side effects to report. No difference either.

This is going to be a short term test of sorts. 3 months and then review symptoms vs response. At that point I'll consider reducing to .50mg for another 3 month trial.

Better living through chemistry? I hope.

Funny how women in the same family can be effected so differently with menopause. My older sister thinks she "got warm a few times" She's 54 and in complete meno.

Mom had a total hyster over 30 years ago and had no hot flashes...not fair!

Estrace

Greetings!
I caved about 6 weeks after my TAH and was given estrace. That was 4 years ago, and only once did I experience any additonal discomfort. Doc gave me a hormone shot and it lasted for about a month, then I got back on estrace and haven't looked back. I am glad that I didn't listen to my now EX dh...he told me I could do with out the med...after 25 years of him telling me 'it is all in your head'...I started anew! Beginning to live again and grateful for ALL of my experiences since my TAH. I know that I can survive just about anything!
