Kylie,

I had the same prob. you are having at about 1 week post op. I went to the store and got some off brand gas releiver (generic gasX). It has helped tremendously. You might try that. If it does not work within 2 or 3 days, call your He/she might have a suggestion for ya!

Let us know.

posthyster chronic bowel and bladder pain

I too had pain and figured it was from my surgery, but in fact it turned out to be gas and some constipation. This can be very painful. I solved the problem by doing the fibre thing. The next day I had oatmeal for breakfast, a bowl of raisins, and fibre at bedtime. The next day I was a little loose, but have been regular ever since. I do understand, however. I had major problems with gas for about four days, and the hospital told me not to use Gas-X, but to let the problem resolve naturally.

Hi - I'm 8 weeks post-op and had the same thing around 1-2 weeks especially with the bladder. I thought something went wrong during surgery and it would never get better but trust me it did. For the bladder pain - drink alot of water or juices - you pee more but it gets the bladder back in shape. With the other they told me to buy an over the counter softener and it worked great.

Hang in there it does get better and is worth it!!!!
