Pain in the Tail Bone

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before or after surgery. I have pain located in the area of my Tail Bone but only while sitting or after prolonged periods of sitting. I had this pain before surgery and asked my doctor if it was related to fibroid. His answer was wait until after surgery and talk about it then. I have an appointment to see him September 19 and will again discuss this problem. If anyone else has this problem Please let me know. I have been at work for 2 weeks my biggest challenges are dealing with this pain and being tired. Please help answer this "pain in the rear question".

it's a real pain!

I had this problem before surgery, still had it after surgery until...

I bought a "tush cush" pillow, which has a cut-out area where the tailbone sits, and helps to relieve some of the discomfort. I found it by doing an internet search. It cost around $40, and helped some.

I also had aching hip and shoulder joints, and difficulty sleeping. With some encouragement from me, and after I did lots of research in the hormone jungle on this website, my fam. med. doctor started me on prometrium, a bioidentical form of progesterone. That has really helped, so far. The joint pain and tailbone pain are much less than they had been. This may not be for everybody, and you'll want to do some reading yourself before trying it.

Hope this helps give you some ideas.
