My success story

Hi girls,

thought I would just share my success story with you endo sufferers.

I was diagnosed with endo when I was 25 and suffered for nearly 20 years. I was lucky enough to conceive naturally and gave birth to my beautiful son who is now 18.

After years and years of all drugs and treatments known to help unfortunately my only option was hysterectomy at the age of 44.

I have to take HRT even though my consultant wasn't too keen. After an eventful post op period I started to feel better and now 2 years down the line I feel fantastic! Am able to walk with my dog for miles, go to the gym, work without pain and worry and look 10 years younger!

Of course we are all different but I hope by sharing my story it may give hope to others.

Thanks for that little success story. Feel like this will never end. I had a hysterectomy in hopes of fixing the horrible pain, but it is still here- 2 yrs. post hyst.

I am very thankful that there are positive posts that keep me with a glimmer of hope!

Hey, Jo! Thank you so much for sharing your story!! Not only does it give those of us suffering from the disease hope, but more often than not, we tend to hear more of the negative than the positive, because of the nature of endo itself. I'm not convinced that my battle with it is over by a long shot, but I feel like I've cultivated the maturity to take things as they come...and we need to hear more success stories like yours!!
