2-YR. HYSTERVERSARY

greetings everyone...today, march 22, 2009, is the 2nd anniversary of my hysterectomy/debulking surgery for ovca. i still have 4-mo. followups where the oncologist or a resident does a pelvic and rectal exam. i have had no c.t. scans as they tell me they don't find them useful unless there are symptoms or something is felt during the examination. i pay myself for a ca125 test every 4 mos. or so and it has held steady at "9".

i feel fine, i'm healthy and active and very grateful that i have come through this. thanks for all the support you wonderful, wise ladies have given me.

best wishes to you all and hang in there.
colleen.

Wonderful news! Hope you are doing something special to mark the occasion.

Although DH and I went out to dinner to celebrate, going out to dinner is his favorite thing to do. When I received my after-surgery diagnosis, my sister gave me a beautiful handbag to celebrate. So, I decided that I am going to buy myself a nice handbag at the Premium Outlets nearby to celebrate every anniversary.

Wishing you many more years of good health.

Congrats Colleen! You are an inspiration to all of us! I agree with you and your dr about CT scans. we don not need any more radiation in our body unless a problem arises (or symptom)
Thanks for all your help and wisdom you gave me the last year!!!

Have a great year!
Hugs,
Chris
