101/2 weeks post op; so tired I feel comatose at times

Hi ladies. I am 10 1/2 weeks post op and feel so tired after work sometimes I swear I am nearly comatose. Does anyone else feel this way? I work a fairly active job and it has left me feeling drained BIG time. Any advice?

Re: 101/2 weeks post op; so tired I feel comatose at times

Hi, i had my TAH (everything gone) on jan 21. I am very tired also. Have u lost weight? Are you eating well? I have lost alot of weight and am unable to eat, so i know why i feel so badly....after running after my two kids all day, i just want to lay down and die...I hope u find some answers. Maybe u should ask your doc to run some labs....

I hear you loud and clear!

When I went back to work I was so exhausted and would do nothing but eat and sleep during the evenings and weekends.

It honestly took me until 6 months before I noticed a huge difference.

Hang in there, it will get better :-)

For me, it was a good three months before I was feeling like I had my energy back. Eating extremely healthy really has helped me a lot. It does get better. Try not to get too discouraged. There are definitely some viruses going around as well. Perhaps you are fighting something off.

Re: 101/2 weeks post op; so tired I feel comatose at times

Oh yes. 11 weeks here and still tired, but not as bad. I continue to take my multi vitamin and my Dr. suggested b12 liquid under the tongue 2x a day. I choose to take it at about 11am and then again at about 3-4pm. I doesn't make me hyper and it's just enough to get me through the day but has worn off by bedtime.

You might call the Dr. and ask about the B12. It's a supplement and you can purchase it at almost any drug store.

Take care of you,
