.5 or 1mg Femring?

I'm currently on .75 estradiol pill. My doc wants me to try the .5 Femring but I don't know if it's going to be strong enough. Anyone have any ideas if the .5 will be enough for me compared to .75 pill I'm taking?
Thanks!

Re: .5 or 1mg Femring?

I would start at the 0.05 if you're on the 0.75 patch. You can always increase the dosage if needed but at least you'll know if your body likes it.

Am using 0.1 Femring - switched from 0.1 + 0.0375 patches (vivelle). So far, so good. Most pharmacies only carry the 0.05 as it's the "norm"... others need more.

The patient insert says to start with the lowest dose. Let me know how you like it! Such a different feeling than using the patch for me.

Re: .5 or 1mg Femring?

Do you know how long it takes for the estrogen to be absorbed in your body? In otherwords, could you feel it at any certain point? I read that the Vivelle patch takes 4 hours to be absorbed and 24 hours to leave the body. It was more like 5 days for the all the negative affects of the patch to finally leave my body. It was like poison to me, but I know it works great for 2 of my friends. Oh well! I''ll keep posting.

Re: .5 or 1mg Femring?

I noticed a difference within hours. Felt a lot better the next morning. Hope it works well for you too.
