4 weeks post op DaVinci and bleeding!!!!

I had a RALH with BSO on 3/3/09. I have been bleeding since day 12. I passed what looked like a stitch on Sunday and my bleeding has gotten more intense; everytime I walk, I bleed. I called m doc on yesterday and she told me to stay home until Monday and if I'm not better to come back Tuesday. This is not comforting to me.

Re: 4 weeks post op DaVinci and bleeding!!!!

I can't believe the doctor didn't want to see you. Is the blood filling the pad when you walk? If so, call the doctor, that may be too much and mean something else is going on.

I too had bleeding, but it didn't fill the pad in an hour, just a light bleed, combined with some watery discharge. It did get heavier when I walked. I did and still do have some low abdomen cramping. But it get better after the 2nd week - to a light discharge - brownish. But now I've got an infection, the stitches inside are causing it. I had to be cauterized and have silver nitrate (some other hyster sisters had the same thing going on.) So please keep an eye on the amount - and describe how you are feeling physcially to your doctor or his nurse. I hope this help!?

I thought my doc might have wanted to see me too. Since she has me off work until Monday I will call again today. Your response has helped. Thanks
