narcotic dependence, how long till I feel normal after quitting?

I had my hyst back in May 2008, and just had an additional surgery 2/27/09 to remove cervix, appendix, endo, and repair bladder. I have suffered with endometriosis for 14 years, and my pain got worse after my hyst. My Dr prescribed me Darvocet for the pain, and I had been taking them once or twice a day for the past 10 months. I am now having much less pain (yay!), and took the last of my Darvocet yesterday, after slowly weaning myself off of them. Now I feel 'not quite right', almost PMSish, and I know it is due to the stopping of the meds. Has anyone else had to deal with dependence on narcotics after surgery? How long until you felt normal again? I am doing ok, just trying to be as healthy as I can, and really can't wait to start feeling 'good' again. By the way, my DR is aware that I have tapered off the medication. Thanks for any help you can offer!
