How Long Before Lupron Kicks In?

Hi Ladies,

I'm in my eighth week of Lupron and I have as much pain today as when I started. My doc predicted that if it was going to work, it'd work after two full months.

I have my third monthly shot later this week. Does this sound like a hopeless case or are there women out there who had Lupron work in terms of pain relief.... but only after several months?

Thanks and hugs to all, Rocket

I am so sorry you are still in pain. Lupron made me sick and nutty the entire time I was on it. For me personally, it didn't work.

Re: How Long Before Lupron Kicks In?

Hi Sis,

Thanks for your reply. I know, lots of folks have had no luck w/ Lupron. Are you saying you got no pain relief at all? Did it worsen fatigue?

Problem is, in my case, Lupron is intended to be diagnostic--to make sure endo is really my problem. (Frankly, I think I have multiple problems.) So I don't know what's up, given that I have no pain relief after 8 weeks. Don't know whether I should quit....

I hope you have had some relief from something? What's worked for you? How do you experience endo pain? Is it sharp and pinpointed or global and achey? I have both kinds of pain...

Thanks again and God bless,
R
